Emmanuel means “God with us”

God among us. God goes before us.

Our story

Its founder came to know missionary work on trips to other countries and decided to do the same in Medellín. God led her to work with children.

  1. May 16, 2016

    We began

With 120 boys and girls ages 2 to 16, on Saturdays, in a small wooden shack.

  2. The following years

A little house for the dining hall

A kitchen, chairs, tables, a library and teaching materials arrived.

  3. About three years ago

We focused on ages 5 to 11

That way we can care for them and walk alongside them better.

  4. March 2026

    We closed for a while

Financial difficulties forced us to take a pause.

  5. October 2026

    We opened again

A local businessman asked for the dining hall to reopen.

  6. Saturday, October 24, 2026

    Reopening party

A party with the children to celebrate that the dining hall is back.
